Description	USC Care Medical Group is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst with excellent analytic skills and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and concepts related to business performance management and reporting. This individual will join a highly skilled team currently developing a business intelligence platform that will be used to monitor and manage the critical business processes of a complex medical enterprise. USC Care Medical Group is the 600+ physician multispecialty private practice of the USC Keck School of Medicine. Together with our newly purchased facilities, University Hospital and the Norris Cancer Center, USC is creating a best of class medical enterprise. This new business structure is supported by an upgraded installation of our practice management system; a new consolidated accounting platform; and a business intelligence (BI) solution. This position plays an integral role in the USC Care Business Intelligence unit. The BI analyst is responsible for developing analytic reports from relational and OLAP data sources reflecting key business indicators. The selected candidate will be actively involved in developing the analytic methods used in assessing business trends and patterns; and publishing interactive reports and report models to a web based enterprise business intelligence portal. Core Responsibilities: · Assist in developing key performance indicators for core USC Care business processes and design clear communication of performance measures via online reports, interactive analytic tools, and dashboards. · Maintain an online catalog of strategic business reports including security updates and content changes. · Assist in the development of training materials and programs for user groups accessing the USC Care BI system. Materials will be tailored to different user classifications based on security privileges and associated content. · Conduct ad-hoc analyses for decision support related to strategic business issues. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems/MIS, or other related discipline; Master’s degree preferred. Three to five years of experience in a business monitoring or reporting unit. · Proven hands on experience working in an enterprise BI or data warehouse environment with a strong understanding of BI system development and best practices. · Solid experience in the use of online report development systems, preferably MS Reporting Services. · Strong understanding of the technologies and concepts involved in business intelligence system development with the MS SQL Server BI stack or a comparable software suite. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
